Weekend Fun

This weekend Linda got real festive and put the yuletide love on our home. The tree is up, the decorations are in place, and (thanks to Titus and his pal Joe) the Christmas lights are shining brightly in the front yard. Ming is much more attentive to the Christmas cheer this year, so I'm sensing that the fun has just begun.

Nightie Night.

It was pitch black in Ming's room when I took this. Not even a flinch when the flash went off. They're always angelic when they are sleeping, eh?

The Mingster Cam

This one is from the webcam on my computer. After we recorded it, I showed it to Ming. When she wants to do something again she makes this funny little noise that kind of sounds like a siren (only faster). Ming sat in my lap and gave me the do-it-again sound over and over. After a couple of watchings she had it memorized and was saying the same things on top of the video sound. And I got another kiss each time too!

Thanksgiving Feast 2007

The Narrator gets a little ahead of himself on this video. He calls this "Thanksgiving 2008"...but it is really only 2007.

By the way, the empty chair between Aunt Kim and Grandma B is Cousin Holden's...we have no idea where he disappeared to during this video.
We enjoyed our afternoon Turkey Day Meal at Uncle Roger and Aunt Kim's house.

Thanksgiving Morning with Grandma S

This morning we dropped by Grandma S's house to visit for a while and play with Mr. Potato Head. Ming Mei loves it when Grandma gets down on the floor and joins in the fun.

Popcorn Time

Lil Ming Mei loves popcorn, just like her Daddy. We have a bowl full several times a week. Here's a quick clip of Ming sitting in the kitching enjoying some buttery popcorn while watching one of her favorite kid shows - Blues Clues.

Flying Ming-A-Ling

We were getting ready to run over to Grandma S's house tonight for a visit when Ming went into the family room and settled into this flying Ming position and bagan watching TV. I'm glad I had my camera nearby. I'm telling you, this girl is a climber and an acrobat.

Ribbonzai!

The Mingster found some of Mommy's ribbon tonight, so she did what any little girl would do with something pretty and fun -- play dress-up! I'm thinking it is either a veil of modesty, or she's getting ready to rob a bank.

Ming's Big "Sisters"

L to R: So Yun (S. Korea); Heloise (Taiwan); Dina (Cambodia)

Here's a shot of the girls - the first photo I've taken with them all together. Our home is always a flurry of activity now that we've added three new residents. Ming has fun with all of them and the girls treat Ming with love and care. Dinner time is a lot of fun as we nightly enjoy Linda's great cooking and spend time helping the ladies improve their English.

Whereas once I lived in a house full of boys, these days Levi and I are completely outnumbered by girls. But, honestly, I have no complaints.

Like Mommy, Like Daughter

Some of you have had the good fortune of tasting one (or more) of Linda's pies - the best pies in the world, I might add. Linda was whupping up a blackberry delight recently and Ming got into the action. I'm pretty sure that Ming Mei will be a great pie maker too.

More Luvvly-Jubbly in England for Ming's Bro.

That's Nate there on the left with some of his pals and punters at "the Cape" (aka Capernwray) in the English country side.

Ming Mei's Crazy Brother

Some of you readers out there know that Ming's oldest brother, Nate, is studying in England this school year at Capernwray in Carnforth, Lancashire. On his second day at Capernwray they were touring 'the castle' where they live and have classes, and a couple of guys offered a bounty of 80 British sterling pounds (big bucks if you do the math) for the person who was willing to catch a football while jumping into the creek that flows through the castle grounds. And....Nate's the man! And richer for it...

Groovy Nu Shooz

Grandma S and Aunt Cindy had a shopping day with Ming at the mall yesterday. Among other girly things, Ming ended up with some groovy new shoes. She wore them to church today and other places. She likes 'em!
