Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Linda says that Ming won't like these pictures when she gets older because her hair is messed up, she has a blemish on her lip, and she's flat chested (I cropped that part out). Oh well....
she's awfully cute at this age.

I figured that I had better give Titus credit, otherwise he would leave a comment about this being his handiwork.

Titus was home for dinner tonight and he took this on his camera phone...he must have some kind of wide angle lens because of the way this is a little bit distorted. It's cute, though. Once again, Ming is doing the headband/mask thing. This time it is a sweatband owned by one of the boys. She keeps us smiling.

O - R - E - G - O - N

The Mingster is a remarkably good speller for being just 28 months...well, maybe not a speller, but at least a good letter recognizer. We're not sure how she picked it up so fast. Some of it is from her alphabet caterpillar, and some of it is from the educational TV shows she watches. She showed off her knowledge tonight by climbing on my lap while I was working on my computer and started naming the letters on my University of Oregon sweatshirt. I grabbed my camera for a quick film job as I held it high above my head. Yes, yes...we think she's pretty amazing too. :-)

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!

The truth is, this little cheerleader isn't feeling all that spirited right now. She's had a slight fever the last couple of days and has one of those bothersome little coughs. It's Sicky Season in Spokane...seems like everybody has some kind of bronchial-nasal ailment, including Ming. But she is still as cute as a bug's ear.

Favorite Blanket

Ming received this pink blanket as a gift from some friends shortly after we came home from China. This blanket, along with her pink bear, continue to be a couple of her best friends.

Fancy Earings

Ming had a couple of glow bracelets that she let me hang from her ears - she seems to like the girly-girl accessories. I couldn't coax a smile from her...until after the flash went off, of course.

Who Is This Masked Woman?

Ming is really into this mask thing right now. Besides wearing her mask, she likes "flying" through the house with a cape (blanket). She's my super hero.

Two Days in A Row

So here's the deal on Ming's head bandana...she's been watching a new "Blue's Clues" lately where Steve wears a Lone Ranger kind of mask on his eyes. Ming has been wearing this as her own version of a mask. She even call's it "Ming Mei Mah." She is filled with imagination.

1 - 2 - 3 - JUMP!

Apparently the little headband thing has put her in a crazy Kung Fu mood...I walked in the family room and she was jumping off the couch. I managed to get her in action (which wasn't easy). In case you're wondering, she nailed the landing. She's quite the little gymnast.

Didn't Ethyl Mertz Wear These Kind of Things in Her Hair?

You know, Ethyl from the I Love Lucy show....
I returned home today from 5 nights in sunny Phoenix, so I was delighted to see my little girl. Linda joined me for a couple nights, so Ming got to hang out with Grandma S and Aunt Cindy - I'm know it was a special treat for ALL of us. Ming found this piece of cloth and Linda tied it on her head. Ming apparently like it, so she's been walking around with it. What a doll.

Church Time

Here's a shot of Ming and Aunt Cindy at church yesterday. I tried to encourage a smile from Ming, but she was a little somber. She poked herself in the eye with a Starbucks straw on the way to church, so that kind of mellowed her out for a while.
